Thulin — Walfred Thulin was a talented 19th and early 20th century Swedish wood carver. He joined Boston-based frame making company Carrig-Rohane in 1906 were he worked alongside company founder Hermann Dudley Murphy. They changed the company name to the Thulin-Murphy Company but after three years changed it back to Carrig-Rohane. Known for exquisite frame designs and expertly executed wood carving and joinery, Thulin signed and numbered his frames on the verso.
