Hassam — American artist Childe Hassam took an active role in framing his paintings, working with various framemakers and using diverse designs. From 1904 to 1912, he collaborated with Carrig-Rohane, frequently using Hermann Dudley Murphy’s cassetta designs. Beginning around 1919, Hassam added his initials to these cassetta frames, which were often produced by The Royal Art Company or Milch Galleries.
